ECOGLOVE has developed a totally unique method for providing high volume users of conventional disposable gloves with an alternative that makes available a better quality glove at less cost and at the same time eliminates the waste now destined for land fills.
Aimed particularly at health care, food processing and clean room manufacturing, glove supply is also transformed from simple commodity purchasing into a full service approach that delivers the exact quantity of gloves at exactly the right time.
This approach is made possible through a combination of a range of specially formulated Tr@ce gloves, that can be reused multiple times, coupled with a method for reconditioning them to be as new. The Prodigy GRU is a self-contained machine that automatically takes each glove through an inspection and cleansing sequence, including individual pinhole testing and decontamination. It rejects gloves that do not meet exacting quality standards or have reached the end of their prescribed life as clean, reusable waste.
Another innovation that makes this possible is that each glove is printed with a unique identifier, which is used to track every aspect of its use and reconditioning. It provides the means for traceability, statistical analysis and management information never before available, and that will anyway become mandatory in the medical sector in the next few years.
Tr@ce gloves and the Prodigy GRU reconditioning are supplied through local service partners worldwide. The GRU will recondition up to 8 million gloves per year and may be used either on a dedicated or shared basis, managed by the service partner
The ECOGLOVE technology addresses the high volume user segment that represents about 70% of a $3BN market, which itself is growing at over 10% per year. It meets the growing pressures for better quality at lower cost and reduced waste for which no other solutions are available. This is very much a “green” product, saving not only waste but also drastically reducing the “carbon footprint” associated with disposable glove use.
Customer satisfaction, sustainable development, environmental protection, energy conservation, fair trade, brand recognition and a high value chain are the ECOGLOVE driving principles.
