How can one be sure that reconditioned gloves are not contaminated? |
|
First of all it is important to stress that conventional single-use disposable gloves are very far from contamination fre and there are actually no regulatory standards with respect to the contamination level of new non-sterile examination gloves. Studies have shown new disposable gloves to be infected with a variety of CFU (even insects and larvaes) and contains a high level of endotoxins.
By contrast, EcoGlove has focused its Tr@ce glove development on the absolute security given to the HCW and patients, with measurable and validated results and and individual glove traceability.
The GURU process disinfects, reconditions and controls every glove individually, eliminating any possibility of cross-contamination.
As a first step both glove surfaces (inside and out) are cleaned and decontaminated using accelerated hydrogen peroxide with saturated steam. Further decontamination steps then ensure that the final new or reconditioned glove is guaranteed as being free from contamination – in marked contrast to conventional new single-use disposable gloves.
